Thank you! The worst part has been getting the actual paper-certifications.. completed the requirements at the beginning of March, I'm JUST showing up in the NRA databases as an instructor, but still have not yet received my credentials. And I can't start teaching for the state of MA and have it count for LTC courses til I've submitted my NRA credentials to the Mass State Police to get their certification number. At least that's automatic with the NRA certification. Just more time to wait, and more hoops to jump through.

Eh, we live, we learn. Everyone had loads of fun, though with a group that large we're almost better off getting a 'hall' and getting things catered or going potluck/bbq/etc. I propose next steak outing to be to Longhorn or something similar!

Yay! I'm always relieved to hear that people had a good time.

I'm still upset that the food at Hilltop was sub-par. :(

It was fun, but I haven't gone back, yet. Been v. busy since then. Perhaps sometime I will, but at the moment I don't really have time.

Friends invited me contra dancing numerous times and I always kind of meant to go but took a long time getting to my first dance. Glad I did go. In the years since I've met so many nice people, enjoyed the low-key atmosphere, the very good to amazing musicians who comprise contra bands... there is a lot to like.

As for the dizzying, if you don't mind keeping eye contact with your partner while revolving, it helps a lot. If that's a bit too intimate just pick a spot on his or her shoulder and keep your gaze there as you go around.

A little bit of dizzying doesn't have to be thing, but a little too much is way more than enough.

Have you gone back?
